ping from self ip vs source nat

Hello!

Is it possible to ping from inside self IP to any outside IP via ip forwarding router and make source nat to a routable public IP?

Currently an AFM nat policy is attached to the ip forwarding router, but it does not worked when we ping from inside self ip.
