Persistence across clone pools

Hello,

 

im new to F5 and iRules, but im trying to solve the following, hopefully small, problem.

 

Virtual server with pool of x devices as LB for forward proxy, persistence based on src_addr. I've defined a clone pool with 2 destination IPs which will analyze the traffic received from clients (client clone pool)

 

I need to achieve persistence on the clone pool as well - meaning any traffic from a src_addr needs to go to the same clone pool member for a given time (8hours for example).

 

I've checked the "match across services" and "match across pools" settings in the persistence profile without luck. I tried building an iRule from bits and pieces i found on the internet but didnt succeed.

 

Whats the best way to achieve this?
