Apr 10, 2014I know nothing about PeopleSoft, however if I was trying to debug a monitor problem I would use tcpdump you'll need the non-floating self IP of the unit you are using (let call it 1.1.1.1) and the IP of the server being checked (let's call it 2.2.2.2) and the port for the check (let's say 80). Then;-
tcpdump -i0.0 -s0 -w/var/tmp/ps_mon.cap host 1.1.1.1 and host 2.2.2.2 and port 80
Then put your capture file in wireshark and work out whether;
- a response is not being returned
- a response is not being returned within the specified time
- a response is not being returned in the correct format
If you eliminate 1 and 2 then 3 must be the problem.
