OS Upgrade & WAF Signatures

Hi friends, We are running 11.6 OS version in F5 & need to upgrade it to 12.X, need to know by upgrading the OS image would update the ASM signature database also to latest release or we have to plan...

Qamar,

 

Each TMOS release has its own base signature set. For example, if you have the latest Attack Signatures currently and upgrade, then you would need to download the latest v12.x attack signatures and update the new build.

 

If you weren't updating your signature set, it may be that on upgrade the set is newer than the one you currently have. This may impact change related processes re attack sigs - should you have a process in place.
