Jun 05, 2009Number of connections
quick query,
when we see statistics page for Pools it says "current" Max" and Total connections.
- Now this total connections - Does this mean total connections on this pool from the the day it was up or it is for some specified amount of time ?
- Any way to get number of connections in one month period ?
2. Is there any suggested time period after which we should do a therapatic reboot for big ip 's i am running 1500 , tmos - 9.3
Thanks

Hi Rajwinder,
Total connections ecieved since the last reboot and in order to get a number of connections in one month you need to setup a SNMP monitor to track that. My suggestion is an annual reboot if you make changes about everyone one month. Quaterly if you make changes every day to every week. That is what I use.

Its lame put I copy and paste out the stats on the first of every month. Then run virtual address all stats reset it resets everything to zero. I usually do pool all stats reset as well.
