NTP Peer and Server
For NTP server should I use the IP's that are listed externally or an internal NTP server. I cannot connect (for some reason) to the external IPs anyway so I was thinking of pointing it to something internal. The nodes are a little off on time I'm sure.

you should point to internal NTP sources that do have access to sync to a better peer on the internet. If the NTP peers you are using aren't better than a Stratum 6 you won't get good time. Usually the NTP configuration will use the management interface so make sure that management IP can get to the NTP source.
