Mar 26, 2010No "LDAP" type in the drop down when creating a Configuation object
Hi everyone
I am attempting to set up remote authentication for application traffic from an existing BigIP unit (running 9.3.1) to Active Directory.
I am following the directions in the config and implementation guides for defining a new LDAP configuration document. The instructions read as follows:
To create a custom LDAP configuration object
1.
On the Main tab of the navigation pane, expand Local Traffic, and click Profiles.
The HTTP Profiles screen opens.
2.
From the Authentication menu, choose Configurations.
The Authentication Configurations screen opens.
3.
On the upper-right corner of the screen, click Create.
The New Authentication Configuration screen opens.
Note: If the Create button is unavailable, this indicates that your user role does not grant you permission to create an LDAP configuration object.
4.
In the Name box, type a unique name for the configuration object, such as my_ldap_config.
5.
From the Type list, select LDAP.
This displays the configuration object settings that you can configure.
Unfortunately for some reason I don't have an entry in Type list for LDAP. All I see is "SSL Client Certificate LDAP" and not LDAP, TACACS+ etc.
Has anyone seen this before, is there anything I can do to get this full listing of Types?
Many thanks in advance for any and all help
