New to ASM sily doubt help please !

Hi all i am new to BIG IP PRODUCTS.

 

 

i am looking for a web applicaiton firewall solution from F5.

 

 

i saw there is application security module and a manager i am really confused abt the same.

 

 

as per my understanding we need to buy a big hardware product and tell them to add the asm module in it right.

 

 

does the asm module will also do ssl offloading and re-encryption.

 

 

is this supported on the asm standalone appliance.

 

 

can someone please clarify my doubts. it would be really great.

    Hi Sushil,

     

     

    The ASM standalone supports SSL decryption and re-encryption, but not load balancing. For load balancing, you'd need to get a 3600, 6400, 8400 or higher. You can check the f5.com site for sales contacts to get in touch with an F5 salesperson or partner.
