Sep 22, 2008Network Switch is the default Gateway
Hi Guys
I wonder if anyone can help me!?
I have 2 servers that have the default Gateway as the Cisco Network switch and not the F5.
On the Pool, that i have created, i have enable an SNAT automap.
When i access the Virtual Server url i can access the server through it with no problems, however, when i look at the statisics i can see that both servers handle the request! one comes in the other sends it back!
If your still with me! is there something that i have missed?
Thanks in advanced for your help!

Hi there,
Are you saying that LTM sends the request to one pool member and another pool member responds? If so, can you capture a tcpdump of the issue using:
tcpdump -nei 0.0 -Xs0 host VIP_IP or NODE_1_IP or NODE_2_IP
If this isn't the issue, can you clarify?
Thanks,

hi Hoolio
Thanks for the reply
looking at the statisics it has 3 connections, i see it connect to node 1, and then 2 connections out of node 2. and via versa
If i view the source of the webpage, it shows that it does Load Balance, but not every new request goes to the different servers. it seems to stick! is there a time limit to the amount of time you stay on a server
