Need to create monitor for public internet sites like google.com,www.tcs.com..
Dear friends,
want to configure monitors for public sites like www.google.com or www.tcs.com.
can you please help me to configure this.
I have already searched on devcentral & applied similar monitors available on discussion but it failing on configuration on big ip.the monitors shows down.
please also let me know the some test to do from cli of big ip system to successfully configure such monitor.

Hi. Curl is the command to help with this. There should be plenty of resources on how to use curl for constructing monitors.
Re your specific query, are you trying to ascertain if an upstream proxy is working? See the following post, should help.

If you would like to assign monitor to pool or pool member you can just create new based on http or http head and then set Alias Address to google or tcs, not sure if it has to be IP or can be FQDN. Check as well this one https://devcentral.f5.com/s/feed/0D51T00006i7WeGSAU Piotr - F5findings_1446
