Need to Build a APM Portal for Client and have a dynamic resource assinged using Rewrite of URI

hope someone can help me understand how to build a APM Portal which uses dynamic resource assignment using a resource rewrite.   The server that they need access to is blocked by their local proxy...

thanks for the document i followed it and built out the portal and the resource but cant seem to get authenticated. the document does explan the best way to authenticate users, i am currently trying to use LDAP. Any ideas?
