Nagios and F5 SNMP Issues?
Hi All,
I am hoping someone can help me. I have x2 HA pairs of LTM v11.3. 1 pair in production and one in DR.
I am using Nagios and the SNMP MIBs to monitor the devices. My production enviroment is working absolutely fine. My DR enviroment however I get the following error in Nagios whilst trying to monitor the FAN / Power Supply and temperature:
External command error: No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging Unlinked OID in UPS-MIB: upsMIB ::= { mib-2 33 } Undefined identifier: mib-2 near line 14 of /usr/share/snmp/mibs/rfc1628-ups-mib.txt Error in packet Reason: (noSuchName) There is no such variable name in this MIB. Failed object: F5-BIGIP-SYSTEM-MIB::sysChassisFanStatus.1 \n
I dont know what could be different between the 2 pairs that one would work and another wouldnt. I have confirmed that the Nagios server is in the SNMP access list, and I can prove that works as some of the other monitors are working fine on the devices. I have performed a full_box_reboot with no joy.
I am very new to F5s so there may be something staring me right in the face, but as far as I can see all 4 devices are configure the same.
Many Thanks
Dean
