Multiple GTM's per data center?

I am hearing anecdotal evidence around "do not put more than one GTM per data center". Is this a documented best practice?

    Hi,

     

    Absolutely NOT! I must also add that I personally don't see use of having GTM(DNS) in HA because if DC1 GTM goes down, DC2 GTM continues to respond to queries.
