Monitoring GTM pool members when it failovers

I'm having troubles with properly monitoring the primary vs in GTM.

 

 

We need to monitor when the primary vs when it failover to the secondary vs and fails back to primary.

 

 

I found out that this can be monitored by waiting for the following traps:

 

 

bigipGtmVsNotAvail & bigipGtmVsAvail.

 

 

1.) The problem is it always cause false positives/flappings.

 

 

2.) BIG-IP will only bigipGtmVsNotAvail once and not consistently

 

 

3.) LDAP health check monitoring doesn't have retries before it marks it down.

 

 

 

Is it possible to configure the alerts to keep sending trap bigipGtmVsNotAvail until it receives bigipGtmVsAvail so I could do thresholding???

 

 

At the moment, once we receive these trigeers we immediately send the notification out and since big-ip doesn't behave as number 2. It even made the monitoring more complicated to be solved.

 

 

Perhaps someone has done something similar before? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
