Monitor that never fails

What is the best way to ensure that a virtual server is NEVER marked down, even if all pool members are down?

Not assign a monitor? Or if you want the pool member to be marked up, you could assign a monitor with a receive string set to something that will never be found in the response (Z98273498&@$(*&(*)? and then set it to be a reverse monitor.

  • As long as the server is connected to the network with the specified IP and powered on, the UDP monitor will never fail.
