Migrating VIP's form LTM 2000 series to 5000 series

I did this few weeks ago...had to migrate but the hardware was diff. The firmware was exactly the same as yours 11.5.3, HF2 to 11.5.4, HF2. The only issue I has was the legacy applications started to fail when I used the default sslserver profile to re-encrypt the traffic back to server so I created a default profile that allows SSLv3 ect from F5 to backend servers.

 

i am sure you know you just can't restore the backup file it would be better if you use a separate set of IP's (self and floating) so that both these devices can exist on your network in parallel you can always disable ARP on virtual address and roll back if needed.
