Jun 30, 2009Memory (leak) issue.
Hi there,
I have a memory issue on one of my 6400s working in a HA cluster:
MEMORY STATISTICS --
| (Host) Total = 371.6MB Used = 363.4MB
| (TMM) Total = 3.632GB Used = 3.230GB
| SUBSYSTEM Alloc Max Obj size
[cut]
| mpi_recv_desc 3.143G 3.143G 32
[cut]
It's a:
Linux 2.4.21-9.4.5.1049.0smp, BIG-IP Version 9.4.5 1086.1, Hotfix HF2 Edition
And the question is, does anyone know what mpi_recv_desc is and what it's responsible for? And why did it eat all of my memory? :-) It looks as a memory leak, but I didn't find any bugs/problems mentioned anywhere.

I'd suggest opening a case with F5 Support on this issue.
