LTM Monitor with message parsing

I am looking to develop a monitor that will connect to a specific port, login with a username and password that is passed and then send a keep alive message and wait for a response. The monitor would then wait for a specific response before closing the connection. Does anyone have similar check or suggest a starting point for this.

  • Which type of monitor? If it's HTTP chances are all you need is in the http monitor configuration form.

  • the check will be a TCP connection not http. so basically the server are listening on port 11500, I need to login in on that port and send a keep alive message and wait for a response.

  • Then I think your best bet would be an external monitor. However, the login scenario would depend on your application.
