Can anyone advise of how to generate an email alert when a health check fails. We need to know when the BIG-IP start not servicing connection requests.
Thanks

Hello there,
take a look at:
https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/3000/600/sol3667.html
it links to several other articles that are also needed in order to set this up.
Also you may want to look at: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/7000/100/sol7165.html - testing snmp traps and email alerts.
I hope this helps.

Another method, and one that we use, is to setup the LTM's to use a remote syslog. Here are the notes:
https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/5000/500/sol5527.html
Then you can use a tool like Nagios to watch the log on the remote syslog server, and generate alerts based the syslog. This was more convenient for us as the config sticks across upgrades. I always dislike having to setup these things over and over.
Of course, there are several ways, each with advantages and dis-advantages...
