log local0. truncates message

Hi,

 

I am trying to log locally (/var/log/ltm)

 

[HTTP::host][HTTP::uri] and [HTTP::header "Referer"] to log local0. but some of the urls and referers are long and it seems the log is being truncated at about 1000 bytes.

 

 

Is this syslog-ng that is doing this and if so can I increase the maximum message length that can be logged?

    Hi Rab,

     

     

    I think there is a limit of 1024 bytes on syslog messages for LTM that cannot be changed.

    The syslog facility is limited to logging 1024 bytes per request. Longer strings will be truncated.
