Load balancing terminal servers w/o Session Directory

I'm not sure if there's a way to force the client to submit a username before sending the connection request, but that would be helpful. Otherwise, you need a trainable user base to pre-populate the username (and domain, if necessary) For those required to submit domain, better in the user@domain format than domain\user, I think the cutoff as far as what LTM can see in the cookie is 9 characters, though I could be wrong about that.
