Load Balancing on TCP/UDP traffic

Hi,

 

 

I was trying to figure out how i can do this on a Big-IP 4.5 switch. I have two services running on UDP and TCP, both listening on port 514 on say ip, 10.0.0.1. Well, when the TCP/514 service is down, i don't want to have the Big-IP bring down the UDP service as well.

 

 

It seems I can't have that logical separation since the same ip:port number would exist in both pools. So, then i was wondering if there is anything in IRules i could you use. Any feedback is much appreciated.
