Load Balancing and failover b/w two cisco routers.
Hi,
Can someone assist with Load Balancing and failover b/w two cisco routers configuration Example ?
We have two Cisco 2900 series routers in two data centers with different ISPs. We have IPsec tunnel traffic over the internet. Is there a way to configure failover between the two routers so that if one goes fails, the second router automatically takes over ?
Please advise.
Regards.

Given the geographic diversity of your data centers, have you thought about using GTM? This obviously works best if you are failing between data centers, and not just trying to make the second load balancer in the second data center provide load balancing services for servers in the first data center (when the first data center's LB dies).

Thanks for your suggestion. We'll like to use the GTM but how do we implement it ? We just need to be able to monitor the two Cisco routers across the two data centers and enable automatically failover for each router when one goes down. We don't want to tie it to data being down because we have many other devices at the data centres as you might think.
Thank you.
