Load Balance Multiple Sites

Hi,

i have web server which is hosting multiple sites on different ports.

One web site is on port 80 and other site is on port 30000 and one is running 3636.

I want to configure the F5 in such a way that when for maintanence purposes when I am bring one website it should not impact the others websites.

Currently I am monioring the web server on port 80.

Currently if application team is bring down website running on port 30000, users are still getting to the website bcz the servers health status monitoring is port 80.

So as a work around we are disabling the one server from the F5 load balancer during the maintenance.

I want some type of health monitoring or content change type monitoring which will dect the change only related to that site not the others.

I am using three different VIP for each site site but the inside the pool servers will be the same all the time.

Kindly assist.

Looks like you are doing this with one VIP and one pool. The easy way to get this type of control is to create a 3 VIPS a port 80/30000 and 3636 with a pool for each. Then you assign a monitor to each pool it can been the same HTTP monitor if it works. Doing this will separate each service and allow the F5 to to redirect the request of shutdown the site with out impact to the other three services. note the VIP can share the same IP with out a problem.
