Link Controller Phased Implementation

Complete F5 Noob here. Sorry if this belongs in another forum, please advise.

 

I have 2 new link controllers running 9.4.3 that I'd like to install, but I was wondering if it's possible to do a phased implementation such that...at first only outbound traffic is load balanced and anything coming inbound is just "passed through" to the firewall that is behind my link controllers.

 

 

Later as I get more comfortable with what this is doing, can I add inbound load balancing to our FTP server that is inside?

 

 

So essentially, install with outbound only load balancing turned on. Just ignore inbound traffic and let it through to my firewall behind which will take care of it.

 

 

Is there a way to do this?

 

 

Again sorry if this is not a Link Controller forum. I'm not sure about much with this F5 stuff.
