LineRate testing demo license behind a proxy server
I have downloaded and installed the LROS ova file, but my test environment is behind an IT guarded proxy. How can I tell LineRate to use the proxy server, so that demo licensing? I tried the following in bash for both admin and root:
export http_proxy="http://my.proxy.server:3128/"
And while that works for bash, it does not seem to help your licensing process, because after leaving bash, my prompt still says:
UNLICENSED:LROS
Thanks in advance...

Hi miostreams,
You're correct that a proxy can be configured in this manner via bash, however, the process that controls the licensing process is started early in the boot process - well after the proxy is specified in bash via the command line. Therefore, the licensing mechanism will not use the specified htttp_proxy variable.
The only option is to get the LineRate VM direct Internet access so it can complete the licensing phase. Once you get a valid demo license, you can block Internet access from this VM again for two weeks. After two weeks, the demo license will expire and must be connected to the Internet again to revalidate. (This is a requirement of the demo license.)
You can read more about the licensing configuration and requirements here: Configuring Licensing

Oh, that's unfortunate. OK, thank you for the prompt response.
