Hi,
Can anyone tell me where, how or if I can find the alert messages on the LCD panel from an SSH session ?
I've looked at lcdwarn and /etc/alertd/alertd.conf and bigpipe platfo...

CirrocumulusI don't think that means it's hung - just the last message - you can clear this using the panel (think it's just the X button).
As for the LEDs - here's what I think:
Active Mode
___________
Activity = green or yellow intermittent
Status= green solid
Standby Mode
____________
Activity = green or yellow intermittent
Status= yellow solid
So what you're seeing is the Unit is the Standby one.
