LDAP Monitor

Hi,

 

 

I have a few OpenLDAP 2.3.37.7 servers connected to a BigIP 1000 load balancer running BigIP 4.5.10. I'm trying to set up an LDAP monitor for each of the nodes connected to the load balancer. However, when I set up the monitor, I get the following message in my LDAP server log file:

 

 

 

text=historical protocol version requested, use LDAPv3 instead

 

 

I've verified through performing command-line LDAP searches that these servers don't support LDAPv2 queries; they only support LDAPv3 queries.

 

 

Does anyone know if there's a way to configure the monitor to issue an LDAPv3 query when communicating with the LDAP servers?

    The question is can BIGIP 1000 on v4.5.10 support external monitors that uses LDAPv3 queury? If you want a faster response you should contact F5 support or an F5 sales manager.

    It turns out that this is all moot - I figured out how to support for LDAPv2 queries to my OpenLDAP servers and verified that the monitor now works as designed.
