Aug 14, 2004Is the ITCM.jar file needed for SOAP implementation
Hi,
I'm loading in the new 4.6.2 SDK. As I'm learning more about Java and my development environment IBM WSAD 5.1 I have a question.
It appears as if using the SOAP connectors that the ITCM.jar file is not needed. All of the SDK code is in SOAP/java/shared. Is that correct? If so is there a reason the shared folder is not made into a jar file?
Thanks for the help.
Tim
- If you are referring to the sdk/support/java/ITCM/lib/ITCM.jar, then you won't need it, that is for the CORBA bindings. What you want is in the sdk/support/soap/java/shared directory as you stated. There is no reason why that directory shouldn't be a jar file. Actually, you should do that for deployment. We've been primarily working on the 9.0 version of the SDK and have made many improvements to the build environment in there. Our goal for 4.6.2 was to provide an update on the SDK documentation while keeping the client environment as close as possible from 4.5 development.
