Is it possible to disable AAM smart cache delivery from an iRule command?

Using AAM on version 11.6.1 with web acceleration application policy based on Microsoft Sharepoint 2010

We have an issue with content being delivered from cache which we want to avoid.

S10232: Response was served from the WebAccelerator system's Smart Cache, because the expired content is still valid.

Is there any iRule commands to disable it's delivery from the smart cache?

All the events I thought were relevant don't seem to trigger (CACHE_REQUEST/CACHE_RESPONSE)

Use of the WAM::disable was depriciated in 11.4

Using CACHE::disable causes a TCL error:

- Operation not supported (line 3) invoked from within "CACHE::disable"

Trying an LTM policy to control caching results in the following error when you try to configure it on a VS with AAM on it :

01071754:3: Virtual server /part1/vs-sp-https, profile webacceleration, property applications conflicts with ltm policy /part1/vs-sp-https.

Does AAM have any associated iRule commands and if so what are they?

So any ideas other than modifying the acceleration application is there a way to stop it coming from the cache?

... or is that actually what we are actually supposed to do ...

thanks
