Is it possible to create a Single Pool with multiple ports ?

Question

Am getting this error when i try to create a Pool with Any service ports

01070622:3: The monitor /Common/tcp has a wildcard destination service and cannot be associated with a node that has a zero service

is there anyway we can create single pool which supports multiple ports ?

we have the requirements for using more that 50 ports , and in the VIP config we can create a single vip with add the required ports from port list.

How we can accomplish this Or creating a multiple pools and VIP's with different ports is the only option .

Any help would be appreciated .Thanks in advance

You can create a pool with wildcard port.But you cannot associate a monitor which expects a port, like default tcp. So your solution is to create a custom monitor with alias port configured.This way you will use a specific port for monitoring.Another way is to apply icmp monitor.

Hi, you can use the Feature --&gt; Shared Objects &nbsp;›› &nbsp;Port Lists -- to define your single vip via GUI (I use TMOS 17.1.2)

My question is — if we configure an alias port in the monitor, how will it support the other ports which are not included in the alias port configuration?On the VIP side, I understand that we can create a single VIP with multiple ports using the Port List option in the VIP configuration, which works as expected.Could you please confirm the recommended approach for monitoring in this scenario?
