Is BIG-IP and iRules transparent ?

Hello,

 

 

I am very interested in the combination of a F5 deep inspection packet server and iRules.

 

Here is the type of application I want to do:

 

 

I want to set a BIGIP between phones and a PBX. I want this middleware machine to modify

 

SIP messages and to be transparent on the network ie the PBX nor the phones know about the

 

BIG IP.

 

 

Is that possible ?

 

Is iRules good enough to modify SIP packets (remove, add headers etc.)?
