iRule to create 2 requests

When a user clicks on a pdf link, this request should create another request ( different url) behind the scenes , basically redirect to another page, for some tracking.

It should be seamless, such that the user is viewing only the pdf and not know about the other request.

How can I achieve this ? Should I use Sideband connection for this? If yes, can you provide me an example
