irule "stuck" in memory?

So I was trying to solve a cookie problem using irules. The rule didn't work the way I wanted, but now dispite removing it from the config and reloading the config, it still is processing the rule (when I do a tcpdump I still see the cookies getting munged like my script was doing).

If you look at the bigip.conf, there is no rule associated with the VIP, and the rule has been completely removed.

Anyway to clear this out outside of rebooting? BTW, I am running v9.0.5.

Thanks,

It sounds like you might need to do a "bigstart restart". This is similar to rebooting, but much faster as it only restarts the daemons that do the work. However, it does momentarily interrupt traffic processing and existing connections will be lost (unless you have mirroring to a standby enabled).

It would also be useful if you could open a support case and give the details of how you might have removed the rule in such a way that it didn't actually get taken out of service.
