Irule or script that will add configuration on our F5.

Hi All,

 

May I know if there is an existing irule or script that will add configuration to our F5.

    What kind of configuration are you looking for? An iRule can change certain configuration on a virtual server, but it's not meant to do permanent configurations. Technically you could though by using iCall, but I would not recommend it. :)

     

    For permanent configuration like adding pools or virtual servers you might want to look into TMSH commands, iControl or REST.

    In that case I would look at TMSH commands (providing that you're still going to execute the changes manually). Or, if you want to automate, perhaps iControl. Until F5 fixes the mandatory admin access I would not recommend rest to anyone not using a intermediate XML/Rest proxy for security.
