iRule and pool members relationship

Hi

 

 

I have an irule with a list of redirects on a VIP. I need to take down all the pool members of the VIP for maintenance from time to time. Will the redirects still works if all pool members has been disable for the VIP ? Is there a way to maintain the redirects even if all pool members are unavailable for the VIP?

    It's possible to have a VIP without any pool at all, and only a single iRule doing a redirect (such as an HTTP-to-HTTPS redirect). What does your rule look like?

    I have the iRule do redirects base on URI checks.

     

     

    i.e http://mysite.com/customerA --> http://customerA.com/home.html

     

    http://mysite.com/customerB --> http://customerB.com/home.thml

     

     

    I am wondering, if I disabled monitoring for the pool members during the maintenance will the redirects for the VIP continue to work ?
