Hi Marvin,
I don't believe you can put the self IP in the link object. So I assume you meant server object. If you put two different systems in the same object, I really can't say what the results will be. Basically you have two systems provisioned differently with different processing running configured as peers. For example gtmd on one (DNS) and big3d on the both. That won't be supported and may be why one is being deleted from the server object (the ltm) since it's not provisioned correctly.
So far, the best I have is to configure a generic server for the link (but I don't think your DNS has any access to the gateway link). Then I created a dependency, so when that link goes down, so does virtual server:
tmsh modify gtm server you virtual-servers modify { /Common/vip_192 { depends-on add { test:gw_192 } } }
So far, I can't find any other customer with this issue.
