integrate Big-IQ into Big-IP LTM network

Hi, We have 2 Big-IP LTM instances in HA and we want to manage them with our new BIG-IQ 7000 series. Can we place the self IP addresses which will be used by Big-IP LTM to communicate with BIQ-IQ 7000 device into the same IP subnet as our and Big-IP LTM management IP addresses ? Thanks

    I don't believe you can. BIG-IQ will always use a TMM interface (such as the internal VLAN) to communicate with BIG-IPs. You can however (as I do) have BIG-IQ use the BIG-IP's management interface for management, contrary to what the manual says. Just to make this clear;

    IQ VLAN > IP Mgmt << YES
IQ VLAN > IP VLAN << YES
IQ Mgmt > IP Mgmt << NO
IQ Mgmt > IP VLAN << NO
