Install configuration when rollbacking to previous partition

Hello,

 

I was just wondering do you need to choose Install configuration when booting to a previous partition that was used prior to update (boot to a different partition). Naturally you choose Install configuration when you boot to a new partition that does not have the current configuration.

    Hello,

     

    Not necessarily, everything depends what you want to do. If you want to rollback for reasons of your own, you can just click on older boot partition without selecting "Install configuration". you recover the old configuration before your upgrade...

     

    you can do IT in cli too: switchboot then select old boot location.
