Inquiry regarding the replacement of Viprion Blade 2150 to Viprion Blade 2250
This is just an inquiry regarding the replacement of existing blade of a client, the scenario is that the client have an existing Support contract that will expire some time this year, and they are planning not to renew and just buy a new 2250 blade to replace their existing 2150 blade. How will that affect the upgrade of software if the chassis' support contract is expired but the new blade have existing warranty since this is a new blade. Will this still be a problem on the licensing due to support contract? Need your opinion on this.
Thank you!

The licences are tied to the chassis serial number, not to the blades'.

If you do not have a valid chassis contract support please get it renewed because most of the times chassis will give issues compare to blades. If no valid support contract, you will not receive RMA for chassis.

No. it is not recommended to upgrade/replacement activity if do not have a valid support. Without a valid license you will see lot of issues if you go ahead with your changes.
