First make sure you have the 11.6 BIG-IP software image available. It should be listed under 'Main -> System -> Software Management -> Image List :: Available Images'. If it is not listed there, than import it.

 

To install the hotfix, Go to 'Main -> System -> Software Management -> Hotfix List'. Make sure the hotfix you want to install is listed under 'Available Images'. Select the hotfix you want to install and click on 'install'.

 

When the popup window 'Install Software Hotfix' shows, select disk 'HD1' and enter just a '2' as the Volume set name. It will create 'HD1.2' and install the hotfix there.
