Importing a .pfx - Error: "Can´t read Password"
Hello guys,
Please, I would appreciate you could help me with a simple question.
While importing a .pfx (PKCS12) file in the F5 LTM 11.2.1 I got an error which said: "Can´t read password". So, I would like to know how many characters I must put as a passphrase for the .pfx in this version of TMOS.
I have not been able to find the correct documentation for this version of TMOS. I just found that v11.6 of TMOS supports a passphrase of <50 characters lenght.
Thanks
JM

Have you tried a different passphrase? - Michael_Jenkins

Have you verified that the password is correct for the file, or retried exporting from the source? You could also convert it to a different type and then import into the BIG-IP. SOL6549 may be able to help you out with that.

Hi guys,
Thanks for responding.
I just wanna know the length of the pass phrase which F5 LTM 11.2.1 supports. I know I can use other methods to import the .pfx. I need to say to my boss the password length. My pass phrase has 64 characters and I got the error, so how many characters does the OpenSSL of the LTM support for a pass phrase when importing a .pfx file?
Thanks
JM
if 11.6.0 support < 50 chars, then i would assume 11.2.1 doesn't support more and perhaps even less. but i doubt you will find this somewhere.
if it is very important then open a support case, else go for 32 or such.
