IE8_ISSUE
Hi Team,
we are having issue with IE8.namely, when we try to connect to our ibmwebsphere servers over 443 vip all of browsers work properly besides of ie8. And those applications use j session id cookie but ı have selected the cookie default profile from vip resource for that trrafic. initially application is bening opened properly on ie8 browser after that when ı navigate on menus ,i am getting error message like network connection called failed http status 200. Do you think Do i need to write an irule with j session id cookie. i wonder if there is any trick with that. Version 11.2.1 hf3 and vip type is L7 which has both client ssl and server ssl profile. there are http compression, caching, oneconnect, wan and lan optimized profile. also snat aoutomap and xff enabled. also apllication was written via java language.
thank you in advance

Hey. Is there any authentication involved? Also, what version are you running? - waterfall_10467

hello ,
No authentication method , it's only 443 traffic. The 11.2.1 hf3 v is being used. Do you think, Do i need to upgrade to 11.3.0 hf1 ? But when i look its release notes, I have seen nothing with this matter.
thanks

I wouldn't suggest upgrading a production unit to a .0 release unless you know there is a feature or fix that you need.
Can you capture a trace on a successful client using Fiddler and compare that with a similar trace from a failing client? If that doesn't give you a lead, you could retest both clients while capturing a tcpdump on the BIG-IP.

I second that. In fact, 11.3.0 has been known to cause the system to core...
(the hotfix resolves that, though)

we can do everything easly no problem on this sould I upgrade to 11.3.0 hf1?as Aaron mentioned, 11.3.0 and 11.3.0 hf1 still have this known issue. it would be fixed in 11.3.0 hf2. so, i think it is better to stay in 11.2.1.
