IControl SDK and F5 SDK ???

So I have been trying to write some python scripts using the f5-sdk and as I am searching for things, I started noticing iControl SDK mentioned as well. Trying to understand if they are different and if so, what function does one do over the other? Tried searching for diffs but figured best place is to ask where folks are using them.
