iControl NodeRatio: set_ratio

I have a question about how works Ratio algorithm when I set ratio using iControl

 

 

Does the algorithm ratio restarts when iControl set new node weight?

 

Does the algorithm ratio complete his loop before using new node weight?

 

Does the algorithm ratio use new values of ratio during the loop?

 

 

Could you explain or give me any documentations describing how this algorithm works when iControl set new ratios?

    When you set the value with iControl, the behavior is the same as when you configure it in the administration GUI. When the next client connection comes in that it not part of a persistent connection and a load balancing pick is made, the new ratio will take effect.

     

     

    If you need more details, I'd suggest you check out the BIG-IP product documentation for more details on how the ratio load balancing algorithm works.
