Can iControl be used to query directory size?
du -bs /home/* | sort -n | tail
I want to be able to report the top 10 home directories on each BIGIP.

- Not directly. But, you could create a cron job that dumped the output to a file and then use the iControl ConfigSync's download_file method to download the results in the output file.

Thanks Joe,
I will give it a try. I was hoping to avoid changing anything on the box, the customer has 50+ BigIPs.
BTW We met at the partner summit last year. I was having issues installing the iRule editor and you hooked me up with a different build. You were like: "Hi, I'm Joe." then it hit me, the guy who wrote the iRule editor." -I tell people that story all the time. - Oh yeah, I remember you! I tell the story about meeting you and debugging your iRule Editor install issue all the time as well B-).
Is there a reason why you aren't using ssh? That might be the cleanest solution.
We've purposely not added support to run arbitrary commands through iControl for obvious reasons. Right now ssh is probably your best bet if you don't want to mess with the physical system.
Keep in touch and let me know next time you are in the Seattle area and we can grab lunch and I'll show you around F5 HQ.

Bob
