IBM PureApp

Has anyone had any experience using the LTM's to balance web servers in an IBM PureApp environment? Specifically, the dynamic addition of servers to the LTM Web Server pool when the IBM system allocates additional resources by spinning up additional Web Servers. Thanks in advanced.

    Can you trigger some sort of script when it adds web servers? Then you could use iControl to accomplish what you're talking about.

    Thank Patrik, that is in part my issue, trying to determine what script. I also have to familiarize myself more with iControl.

    Because of the BIG-IP's APIs, it's possible to automate this process, it just depends on what orchestration product is being utilized to accomplish this. Are you using SmartCloud Entry?

    Since I am new to IBM's PureSystem Platform, I am going to ask the tech to see if the PureApp system uses the SmartCloud technology. I will let you know what I get back. Thanks.
