- Fred_Slater_856Historic F5 Accountf5.microsoft_sharepoint_2010 ships with v11.2.1, so it should already be on your BIG-IP. Is it not?

Hi Fred,
Thank you for your response.Yes it is. But i am just confused,if i upgrade to 11.4 then what will be the impact...thats y i was searching it.so it will not have any impact...rit...?
- Fred_Slater_856Historic F5 AccountIf you upgrade to v11.4, the Sharepoint template will present the option to upgrade your iApp. This iApp upgrade is separate from your TMOS upgrade. You can choose to operate with the template as it was in v11.2, or you can choose to convert to the new v11.4 format. The v11.4 template is additive, i.e. it adds features but takes none away. The iApp upgrade procedure will bring forward all of your iApp settings, and assumes conservative defaults for parameters that were not in the previous template. The only known bug in this process concerns ASM. If you used the ASM features of the v11.2 Sharepoint template, and you perform a TMOS upgrade to v11.4, then the ASM features will not be available in the legacy template view (i.e. the v11.2 look-alike view of the v11.4 template). You must proceed with the iApp upgrade in order to recover the ASM template feature, which is fully functional in the v11.4 template view.

The iApp upgrade procedure was introduced in v11.4.0 and it's the responsable to store your template's answers.
If you use a template prior to v11.4.0 and try to upgrade the application service the iApp upgrade procedure sends you undesiderable results because it does not have your original answers.
The only way i found to "upgrade" an application service from templates prior 11.4.0 is:
1.- In the template, click update application. 2.- Choose to upgrade the application (first or second question in the templates). 3.- Once this process is finished, review your iapp configuration. 4.- if something is missed, click reconfigure and fullfill the new version template normally.
Best Regards. David Martín
