Hybrid Office 365 with exchange 2010 using LTM in one arm mode possible?

Good evening all,

I'm being tasked to deploy some Big IP LTM virtuals to load balance two hybrid CAS servers to talk to the office 365 cloud. Our standard deployment is to run them in 1 arm mode. Is this as simple as creating a VIP with the two CAS servers in a pool and balancing that traffic out to the Office 365 cloud? Is there an Iapp that would be suitable for this deployment?

I've used the exchange 2010-2013 Iapp to deploy before, but the hybrid solution with office 365 doesn't seem to have an clear documentation on best practice deployments.

Any pointers would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi Sid, you are right, we don't have specific guidance yet. You should be able to use the Exchange iApp to publish your CAS endpoints, the ADFS deployment guide for ADFS (http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/microsoft-adfs-dg.pdf), and a standard virtual server for SMTP, which doesn't have a whole lot going on.

For outbound traffic, you can use the f5.ip_forwarding iApp to set up a forwarding VIP to listen on the internal VLANs and make BIG-IP self IP the default route on your CAS.
