HTTPS Monitor: monitor other hosts than Pool-Member
Hello,
I have a Pool with Servers:
app1.com.int
app2.com.int
but for application health I need to check come strings on backend-servers:
man1.com.int
man2.com.int
how could I realise something like this?
thanks for any hint.

Hi kgaigl,
You could use External monitor (EAVs : External Application Verification) to do your monitoring, refer below F5 articles for more details :
- https://techdocs.f5.com/kb/en-us/products/big-ip_ltm/manuals/product/bigip-local-traffic-manager-monitors-reference-13-1-0/1.html#guid-886b6012-8ffb-4f82-a3fe-ed263ed27cfc

This doesn't really require EAV monitor, this can be achieved with Alias address or Alias port feature that's already present.

Yes it's also a possibility that I hadn't thought about 😉

thank's to all, but I've got the info, that manX is just the management-interface of the same server, so the server-admin tries to open the health-check on the appX-interface.
but one question about alias-address:
isn't it so that if I enter the alias-address(es) fot the manX interface, the helth-check on ALL alias-addresses have to be ok?
